用途:液体阳离子醚化剂CTA作为一种阳离子助剂可广泛应用于以下领域（1）造纸工业:主要作为液体阳离子醚化剂，大量应用于纤维素、纤维衍生物和淀粉改造；与淀粉反应得到阳离子淀粉，可作为纸张的内部施胶粘结剂、纸张增强剂、填料和细纤维截留的助剂。（2）纺织工业:液体阳离子醚化剂CTA与棉花纤维发生反应，以提高料的粘结；与淀粉反应得到阳离子淀粉，可作为经纱上浆剂。（3）水处理工业:水中悬浮物呈负电性，与液体阳离子醚化剂CTA反应生成的阳离子高分子作为絮凝剂广泛应用于水的净化。（4）日用化工工业:与液体阳离子醚化剂CTA反应生成的阳离子瓜耳胶等都是重要的日用化学品。
